Switching To Tumblr
I’m making another switch of my blog. I started out with a Blogger Blog a few year back, then switched to this WordPress Blog. Its been fine for the past 9 months but after reviewing Tumblr I’m sold on the clean dashboard, functionality and social aspect of it all. So this will be my last post from WordPress unless Tumblr really pisses me off. Thanks for following along thus far, you can now find me at…

Coast Roadster
The weather finally got nice enough to roll the roadster out of the garage for a wash and while I was at it I insured it for the summer. Today I took it for a rip up the coast and snapped some photos along the way. Enjoy!

Castles In The Sky

Castles In The Sky, the sequel to Sipping Jetstreams.
Sipping Jetstreams isn’t just a film, a book or an article in a magazine…it’s a movement.
You see a photo in a book. You scour the coastline on a map. You hear stories from other travelers. And now you just have to find out for yourself.
It begins with a dream. A vision seeded in your mind. But the next step is the one that counts. The first step. Onto the plane. Into the sky. From that moment on, the journey takes on a life of its own. You step off the plane and into the jetstream of travel.
A few years back, Taylor Steele and Dustin Humphrey explored this concept in their film/book collaboration Sipping Jetstreams, discovering how new veins of travel enhance the experience of riding waves. For Castles In The Sky, Taylor Steele pioneered new coastlines on every corner of the globe, dived into the cultural stew of global exploration and brought it all to life through a visual whirlwind of inspiration.
Dane Reynolds in Iceland. Rob Machado in Peru. Dave Rastovich in India. Jordy Smith in Africa. These are just a few of the adventures forming Castles In The Sky. The adventures are now here, in New York for a World Premiere on May 4th at the Tribeca Cinemas. Come and take your own first steps into the unknown.

SKIM ONLINE

An all new site for the greatest resource in skimboarding. If ya don’t know now you know!
On The Big Screen

So this past month has been quite fun with new things happening. Most recently I now have a bunch of photos running on the big screen of our local movie theater; Raven’s Cry. These guys support local artist & photographers and when they saw my work they were more than happy to support it. Needless to say I’m stoked to see it my shots up there! On top of that I also did a small show over at the Capilano University, Sechelt Campus, showing my photographs of Skimboarding on the Sunshine Coast. I’ll be taking that same collection and perhaps do a couple more shows out here in the next month.
Lots going on right now, I’m also piecing together a collection of more fine art stuff and planning out a showing for that. I’ve been in the studio designing, cutting, printing, pressing, & framing; the list goes on but it feels good to be creating.
Sunshine Coast Outdoor Lifestyle Film Festival

The other day I was walking through Sechelt and spotted a poster for an upcoming Film Festival put on by Capilano University Mountain Bike Program. Well I put some work together for it and will be showing a collection of Skimboarding photos from the Sunshine Coast. Photos include riders Scott Copeland, Bryce Rudland, Rory Miller, Cory Johnston and Tim Ladner.
