Castles In The Sky, the sequel to Sipping Jetstreams.

Sipping Jetstreams isn’t just a film, a book or an article in a magazine…it’s a movement.

You see a photo in a book. You scour the coastline on a map. You hear stories from other travelers. And now you just have to find out for yourself.

theBOX is a tale of a boy moving about under the noses of ravenous beasts while he travels from Laguna beach to Florida, then to Chile, Brazil and the Dominican Republic, making mysterious stops in between. The story is told chronologically and runs 1 hour and 38 minutes, and features over 150 different Skimboarders from around the world. It also includes a map to endless bonus features that have been created by Woody Harris and Adam Hayward and hidden online.

So this past month has been quite fun with new things happening. Most recently I now have a bunch of photos running on the big screen of our local movie theater; Raven’s Cry. These guys support local artist & photographers and when they saw my work they were more than happy to support it. Needless to say I’m stoked to see it my shots up there! On top of that I also did a small show over at the Capilano University, Sechelt Campus, showing my photographs of Skimboarding on the Sunshine Coast. I’ll be taking that same collection and perhaps do a couple more shows out here in the next month.

Lots going on right now, I’m also piecing together a collection of more fine art stuff and planning out a showing for that. I’ve been in the studio designing, cutting, printing, pressing, & framing; the list goes on but it feels good to be creating.

The other day I was walking through Sechelt and spotted a poster for an upcoming Film Festival put on by Capilano University Mountain Bike Program. Well I put some work together for it and will be showing a collection of Skimboarding photos from the Sunshine Coast. Photos include riders Scott Copeland, Bryce Rudland, Rory Miller, Cory Johnston and Tim Ladner.
